Cargo Trader

Redstone Commodity Search are currently retained by the bunker trading team of a rapidly expanding oil group (35 trading hires in 3 years). As part of their global expansion strategy, our client is looking to hire an experienced marine fuels cargo trader for their Dubai office.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Execute back-to-back marine fuel cargo trades across diverse global markets to support the expansion of our clients’ marine fuel operations.
  • Bring to the table a well-established and transferable customer portfolio within the marine cargo fuel sector, experience with Middle Eastern, African and European clientele is key.
  • Stay abreast of global marine fuel market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments, providing insightful analysis and strategic guidance for market penetration and expansion.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with marine fuel cargo trading, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and partners, to optimize marine fuel trading activities and ensure seamless supply chain management.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in marine fuel cargo trading,
  • Maintain a transferable customer portfolio of marine cargo fuel clients
  • Developed network of bunker fuels industry clients, specifically within cargoes.
  • Have worked previously within a marine fuel / cargo trading environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to thrive in the fast-paced trading and shipping lifestyle.
