Redstone Commodity Search are working with an established trading house looking to hire a VP of Finance to join the team in London.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead and scale all core financial operations—owning everything from accounting and budgeting to reconciliations and real-time cash flow management
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting, including platform transaction flows, payroll, AR/AP, month-end closes, and ledger management in systems like Xero.
- Design and implement robust internal controls, financial documentation standards, and ensure audit readiness with external partners
- Deliver accurate, insightful reporting—producing monthly management accounts, KPI dashboards, and high-quality inputs for board and investor updates
- Manage liquidity and treasury across a complex, multi-currency balance sheet—monitoring funding needs, handling trade finance and credit insurance, and ensuring collections and compliance processes are in place and effective
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Extensive finance leadership experience, with 7+ years in senior roles—ideally within the fertilizer or agricultural industry.
- Deep expertise in financial operations, including accounting systems like Xero, and hands-on experience managing complex AR/AP processes, payroll, and month-end closes.
- Strong cash and treasury management skills, with a proven ability to handle multi-currency flows, optimize liquidity, and oversee banking relationships and internal treasury controls.
- Proficiency in trade finance and investor relations, including managing facilities, coordinating reporting cycles, and supporting board-level and fundraising activities
- Located and able to work in London.
