Redstone Commodity Search are working with a growing Trading House, who is seeking a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead origination across coal and selected base and battery materials. The business specialises in prefinancing junior miners and is backed by leading Swiss and UAE trade finance funds, with a clear mandate to scale across African and Asian markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and secure exclusive offtake agreements with junior and mid-tier coal and mineral producers
- Structure pre export finance prepayment and logistics backed solutions in exchange for marketing rights
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing payment structures and incentive mechanism
- Manage counterparty relationships across producers logistics providers and inspection agencies
- Deliver ongoing market intelligence covering competition regulation and regional supply dynamics
Key Experience and Requirements
- Minimum seven years’ experience in physical commodity trading or origination
- Established network with mine owners and producers across South Africa and other key producing regions
- Strong understanding of coal and bulk or base metal value chains and pricing dynamics
- Proven capability in structuring and executing offtake and prefinancing arrangements
- Ability to apply trading and origination skills across multiple commodities and regions
