Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global oil trading group looking to hire an Atlantic focused Dry Cargo Chartering Manager to join their newly established chartering team in Dubai

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Develop our client’s emerging chartering desk in niche cargo markets within the Atlantic region by identifying significant trade/cargo flows.
• Cultivate and oversee a portfolio of Supramax and Handy vessels, specializing in ores, cement, grains, steel, and related commodities in the Atlantic market.
• Conduct voyage calculations and analyze potential options, leveraging market trends and adhering to corporate guidelines.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with clients, carriers, brokers, and key stakeholders in the dry cargo shipping industry, with a primary focus on the Atlantic market.
• Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including operations and finance, to ensure chartering activities align with overarching business objectives.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Possess 3-10 years of demonstrated experience in chartering Supramax and Handy vessels with a major operator, with a strong emphasis on the Atlantic market.
• Bring a transferable client base within the ore, cement, grains, or steel industries, specifically in the Atlantic region.
• Showcase a proven track record and exceptional communication skills.
• Exhibit outstanding negotiation and interpersonal abilities to establish and foster lasting relationships with customers, carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
