Redstone Commodity Search are working with a metals trading House seeking a skilled professional to join our compact team responsible for managing sales contracts related to base metals products. The position involves overseeing various aspects of the contract process, including inland logistics, shipping, presenting letters of credit (L/C), and overall contract administration. The team is also engaged in LME hedging, trade finance, inspection and analysis appointments, insurance matters, secondary cost payments and reconciliation, and generates insightful reports and analyses for both management and the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team throughout the entire sales journey, from initial inquiry to order completion.
  • Contract Management: Supervise and maintain contracts with clients and internal entities, ensuring precision and adherence to regulations.
  • Preparation and Submission of Bank Documents for Letter of Credit transactions. Monitor price exposure with clients and suppliers. Coordinate secondary cost payments in partnership with financing banks.
  • Sales Documentation: Develop and manage essential documentation for sales transactions, including contracts, invoices, and shipping records.
  • Forge strong connections with colleagues stationed at our clients international offices and mine sites.
  • Generate necessary reports on sales performance, client input, and related metrics. Logistics Coordination: Work in tandem with logistics teams to ensure the punctual delivery and shipping of metal products to customers.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant role, with a preference for candidates experienced in commodity trading or the mining sector.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills. Customer-centric mindset with the capacity to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (clients and colleagues) across different countries and cultures. Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional service and fostering enduring relationships.
  • Strong organizational and administrative aptitude, including multitasking, task prioritization, and meeting deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and precision in managing contracts and sales documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and database software.
  • Numerical proficiency coupled with adept problem-solving capabilities. Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.

  • While a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred, relevant work experience will also be taken into consideration.
