Redstone Commodity Search are working with leading trading and brokerage house looking to hire a biofuels trader to join their team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Execute biofuel trading strategies across physical products and certificates to maximise profitability and manage risk.
- Monitor and analyse market developments, including price movements, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events, to identify trading opportunities.
- Manage a trading book and P&L, ensuring disciplined risk management while consistently delivering against performance targets.
- Negotiate and execute transactions with market participants, maintaining strong relationships to support efficient trade execution.
- Collaborate with internal trading and brokerage teams to share market intelligence, optimise strategies, and support desk performance.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 5+ years of experience in biofuel trading, preferably within a leading global trading or brokerage firm.
- Strong expertise in physical biofuels and environmental certificates, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and pricing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage trading positions and P&L, balancing commercial opportunities with effective risk management.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to react quickly to changing market conditions.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively in a high-performance trading environment and fluency in English.
