Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to hire a Wheat Bran Trader to join the millers by product division in Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Execute strategic trades of wheat bran and other millers by products to optimise profitability, whilst managing positions and taking actions to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
- Utilise existing network to maintain and expand the client base, providing exceptional service by understanding client needs and ensuring timely execution.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, monitor and analyse risk exposure, adjusting strategies for a balanced portfolio.
- Develop, update, and communicate market intelligence, including reports on key indicators such as prices, stocks, and market sentiment.
- Role reports to Head of Millers By Product Division.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience as a wheat bran trader with a transferable book of business.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field (advanced degree is a plus).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep understanding of commodity markets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- Must be located in Cape Town.
