Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading commodity trading house looking to hire a Traffic Officer to join the commercial team in Zurich .
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Coordinate with forwarders and shipping agents for freight/chartering of vessels, barges, trucks, and railcars.
- Manage full contract administration, ensuring timely delivery, issuing invoices, payment orders, and preparing B/L instructions.
- Instruct surveyors for materials’ inspection, survey, and tallying.
- Handle commercial claims with responsible traders.
- Declare stocks under insurance policies and for banking purposes.
- Reports into Head of Operations
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Commercial background with around 2 years (or more) experience in a Traffic position (Base Metals, Minerals, or Concentrates)
- Familiarity with letters of credit and international transport documentation
- Fluency in English and German (Spanish is an asset)
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Role Located in Zurich – open to relocation if viable.
