Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international steel trading house looking to hire a senior steel trader
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and manage a personal portfolio of steel clients, leveraging existing relationships to generate new trading opportunities.
- Lead trading activities in your core steel product area, expanding business opportunities across global markets.
- Negotiate deals and manage end-to-end trades, ensuring smooth coordination between suppliers, customers, and logistics partners.
- Role reports to Managing Director
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Proven track record in international steel trading, with an established client and supplier network.
- Strong product knowledge in at least one major steel category (flat, long, stainless, prime or non-prime).
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills, with the ability to manage deals from sourcing to delivery.
- Role is to be located across Germany, Switzerland or Italy
