Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to expand their UK office. They are looking for a senior metal trader to join the desks to be based in London
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead physical trading activities across base, minor, or ferrous metals, depending on expertise
- Manage and grow a profitable trading book, developing new business with both suppliers and end-users
- Negotiate and execute purchase and sales contracts, ensuring timely delivery and execution
- Maintain close oversight of logistical, contractual, and financial elements of each trade
- Collaborate with internal teams (traffic, legal, risk, compliance) to ensure operational excellence and trade integrity
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3–7 years’ experience in physical metals trading (open to metal products, with an established book and network).
- Deep understanding of international metals markets, including sourcing and distribution channels
- Commercially sharp with strong negotiation skills and full P&L responsibility experience
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven, with the ability to build and scale trading flows
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
