Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international metal producer who have a trading arm based in Singapore, who are looking to expand their commercial team with a Senior Metal Trader.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Source and sell physical commodities in APAC.
- Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
- Manage physical risk positions.
- Attend client meetings and industry events (20-40% travel).
- Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
- Report to Commercial Trading Director.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 5 years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred: Experience in base metals / ferroalloys.
- Must have a transferable book.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of metals trading and hedging
- To be located in Singapore or want to relocate.
