- Trade physical grains and feed ingredients, including wheat, corn, barley, soybeans and related agricultural products.
- Originate and execute profitable physical trading opportunities, developing long-term relationships with millers, feed producers, importers, state-related buyers and regional trading counterparties.
- Identify new market opportunities, supply chains, freight advantages and arbitrage strategies to expand the agricultural commodities platform.
- Manage physical contracts, pricing, risk and trade execution in collaboration with operations, chartering, logistics and finance teams.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience trading physical grain or agricultural commodities, ideally with exposure to North Africa, the Middle East or wider Mediterranean import markets.
- Demonstrable track record of commercial success in physical grain trading.
- Strong network of relationships across producers, exporters, importers, consumers, millers, feed producers or international commodity trading houses.
- Solid understanding of international grain markets, destination-market demand, physical contracts, freight logistics and risk management.
- Experience managing price exposure through futures and derivative markets, with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset to build and grow a regional trading business.
