Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading energy company looking to hire a senior gas trader to build out a new branch of their business.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Establishing the Swiss based energy trading desk.
- Responsible for the trading of gas and other relevant products (both spot and term) within the current markets as well as identifying new opportunities and optimally utilising them.
- Manage, maintain, and build out the team within the newly established office, leading the onboarding and training processes.
- Utilise market knowledge, working with the middle office team, to inform hedging and pricing strategies.
- Role reports to Group CEO
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of 7 years trading and / or origination across Western Europe in relevant gas and/or power.
- Must have a knowledge and experience in the marketing and pricing of gas products.
- Preferably have a background in managing a trading team of relevant energy products.
- Work within the German speaking part of Switzerland is preferred.
- Role is to be in Zug, Switzerland.
