Redstone are working with a global dry bulk raw materials trading house that are expanding and looking to hire a Regional Operations Manager to oversee trading operations across North America.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead and manage trading operations for the company’s dry bulk raw materials business across North America, with a focus on coal, coke, cement, and cementitious products.
- Coordinate end-to-end operational activities including contract execution, shipping, documentation, and trade finance (including letters of credit).
- Work closely with trading, chartering, logistics, finance, and compliance teams to ensure timely and efficient end to end trade process.
- Oversee operational stockpile and inventory activities across the US and Canada
- Lead a team regional operations staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Role reports to the VP of Operations.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years of experience in commodity trade operations, with a strong focus on dry bulk products such as raw materials, metals, grains, oilseeds, agricultural, fertilizers etc. (pacific coal, coke, cement and cementitious experience is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Proven experience managing and leading teams.
- Deep understanding of shipping, trade documentation, letters of credit, and logistics in the North American market.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Located in South Florida or happy to relocate (must have right to work in the USA)
