Redstone Commodity Search are partnered with a global commodity trading firm who are looking to appoint a Regional Operations Manager, overseeing activities in the Latin American region.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Oversee trade operations and logistics activities for the Latin American region, handing coal, coke, cement, and cementitious materials.
- Supervise regional team of operators, focusing on people management and strategy, with the ability to operate a cargo when needed.
- Manage post-trade activities including coordination of freight, documentation, contract execution, payment processes etc.
- Liaise daily with internal teams – including commercial, chartering, trade execution and finance – to ensure timely and compliant trade execution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk in the regional supply chain.
- Repots to the VP Operations & Logistics
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in commodity trading operations & logistics, preferably with exposure to LATAM markets and dry bulk raw materials (coal, coke, cement, clinker, metals, iron ore, grains, oilseeds, fertilizers, agricultural).
- Strong practical knowledge of physical logistics, trade documents, and financial instruments such as letters of credit.
- Prior experience leading and managing a commodity trade operations team
- Bilingual Spanish and English
- Strong communicator with a proactive approach to solving complex operational challenges.
- Role is based in Florida.
