Redstone Commodity Search are working with an investment fund looking to hire an experienced Futures Trader to join a growing agricultural desk in Singapore, Hong Kong or China. The role offers ownership of arbitrage trading across global and China agricultural futures, building the trading book and generating revenue. This position is ideal for a commercially driven trader with strong market insight, a proven P&L track record, and expertise in grains, vegetable oils, soy and related products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sophisticated trading strategies across agricultural products, including China vs global futures arbitrage.
- Take full ownership of agricultural futures arbitrage, covering grains, vegetable oils, soy and other commodity futures across onshore and offshore markets.
- Analyse and consolidate holdings, monitor brokerage funds and monthly positions, and report updates to the trading supervisor.
- Conduct in-depth industry research, collect and analyse sector data, and produce high-quality market and research reports.
- Identify high-value investment opportunities through continuous market monitoring and analytical assessment.
Experience Required
- 3–5 years’ hands-on experience in futures or securities finance with commodity arbitrage and a proven P&L track record.
- Strong market insight with excellent organisational, analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Confident communicator with strong coordination, execution and problem-solving capabilities, and a collaborative team approach.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to diverse, fast-paced work environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related discipline.
