Redstone Commodity Search are working with an Agricultural Products Trading House looking to hire a Specialty Crops Trader to join the commercial team in Western Canada .
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and price fluctuations for specialty crops (Fruits and Vegetables, tree nuts and dried fruits etc. etc.) in Western Canada.
- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and source high-quality specialty crops from growers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely delivery.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect against market volatility and unforeseen challenges.
- Client Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with growers, buyers, and industry stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Trade Execution: Execute trades efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commodity trading, with a focus on specialty crops.
- Proven track record of successful trades and market analysis in Western Canada.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and trading platforms.
- Strong network within the agricultural and commodity trading community.
- Understanding of quality standards and grading for specialty crops.
