Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house looking to onboard a metal purchaser within the scrap department, to be based in Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Proven experience purchasing post-consumer scrap (not industrial)
- Existing network within German-speaking or broader European scrap yard ecosystem
- Commercial understanding of ferrous or non-ferrous flows, grades, and specifications
- Ability to identify new supply streams and negotiate supply agreements
- Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites and yards
- Reports into Head of Purchasing
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 2-5 years of experience with a background in scrap metal trading, recycling, or procurement
- Knowledge of market dynamics in shredded, mixed, or obsolete scrap
- Hands-on, field-oriented approach with excellent supplier management skills
- To be located in Luxembourg or willing to relocate (must have right to work in EU).
