Redstone Commodity Search are working with a major metal producer looking to hire a Health and Safety Manager to join the team in Mosjøen.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead and oversee all Health & Safety (HS) activities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve HS plans, systems, and fatality prevention measures.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coach and develop HS team members and promote a strong safety culture across the plant.
- Manage emergency preparedness, crisis communication, and regulatory reporting.
- Role reports to Plant manager
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, engineering, or related field.
- Qualified Health & Safety Professional with at least 10 years’ HS experience, including 5+ years in a similar industrial leadership role.
- Strong track record in implementing HS systems, driving cultural change, and coaching teams.
- Able to build effective relationships with regulators, unions, contractors, and community stakeholders.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
- Located or willing to relocate to Norway
