Redstone Commodity Search are working with an agricultural trading house looking to hire a Head of Energy to develop a new market in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead global diesel and gasoline trading operations, including sourcing, pricing, and executing international commodity deals.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize margins, manage risk, and capitalize on market opportunities across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, refiners, and buyers to secure supply contracts and long-term trading partnerships.
- Collaborate with logistics, finance, and regional teams to ensure smooth execution of trades and alignment with the firm operational capabilities.
- Role reports directly to CEO.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years of experience in international fuel or energy trading, with proven knowledge of diesel and gasoline markets.
- Leadership experience in building trading teams, guiding cross-functional collaboration, and scaling operations internationally.
- Strong analytical skills in commodity markets, pricing, risk management, and trading strategy.
- Proven negotiation and relationship management expertise, with experience securing large-volume contracts.
- Located or willing to relocate to Geneva.
