Redstone Commodity Search are working with a leading international energy trading house based in Demark, who are currently looking to hire a gas trader to optimise gas storage and capacity.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for trading natural gas across the Central Western European markets (CWE)
- Optimise gas storage and capacity within the portfolio
- Focus on longer term, structured gas trades, working closely with the entire gas business
- Manage the portfolio of physical and virtual assets to maximize profit within given mandates
- Grow, develop and maintain knowledge on key markets, market factors and related markets
- Role reports into the Head of European Gas
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ European gas trading experience (direct experience and exposure trading the curve is advantageous)
- Well versed in the European gas markets with a strong understanding of flexibility & structured trading and optimisation of a large portfolios, complemented by a solid understanding of fundamental drivers
- Take an analytical and structure approach to problem solving and day to day activities (Programming skills and experience with quantitative analysis are a plus)
- Be a team player in a collaborative atmosphere
- Located in Denmark or happy to relocate
