Redstone Commodity Search is excited to partner with a leading commodities trading company expanding its operations into Switzerland. We are assisting in their search for an experienced Ethanol Trader to join their team and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of their biofuels division. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic trading environment.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Execute and manage the physical and paper trading of ethanol across global markets with a particular focus on Europe.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, refineries, and customers within the ethanol market.
- Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and regulatory changes to identify profitable trading opportunities.
- Manage risk exposure, including market, credit, and operational risks, using hedging strategies and tools.
- Work closely with the senior management team to develop and implement the company’s strategy for ethanol trading in the region.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience in ethanol trading within the European or global markets, ideally with a focus on Switzerland or surrounding regions.
- Strong track record of managing physical and paper positions in biofuels, particularly ethanol, and understanding of related financial instruments.
- Expertise in risk management strategies, including hedging and exposure management within the biofuels market.
- Existing relationships with key producers, refineries, and buyers within the ethanol industry.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse market trends and execute profitable trades in a fast-paced environment.
