Redstone Commodity Search is seeking a skilled Commodity Trader with 2-5 years of experience to join a leading trading firm in Germany, specializing in the physical trading of Light Ends, Heavy Ends, and Fuel Oil. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing physical trades, managing market risks, and ensuring the smooth operation of logistics for these products. Reporting to senior management, this role offers a great opportunity to contribute to the company’s success in the European market.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks:
- Execute physical trades for Light Ends, Heavy Ends, and Fuel Oil in the German and broader European markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders in the energy and fuel oil markets.
- Monitor market trends and analyze pricing dynamics to identify trading opportunities.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Manage market exposure through hedging strategies and risk management tools.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards in the energy trading sector.
Key Qualifications / Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in physical trading of Light Ends, Heavy Ends, and/or Fuel Oil.
- Solid understanding of market fundamentals, pricing, and logistics within the energy sector.
- Proven ability to manage trading risks through hedging and other risk management practices.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain business relationships.
- Role based in Germany with a focus on European markets.
