Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international agricultural trading house looking to hire a Director of Finance to join their team based in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Plan and execute various financial strategies, including annual budgets, cashflow cycles and comprehensive financial reports (such as P&L statement, trade volumes analyses and trade risk assessments)
- Lead the team of finance staff, allowing for strong collaboration and hardworking environment to be fostered
- Monitoring trade activities in order to action profitable changes, presenting this data to executives to ensure change is driven strategically and well informed
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders and external partners (such as farmers, suppliers and regulatory bodies)
- Role reports to Chief Financial Officer
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years within finance needed, preferably within agricultural trading, commodities or a related industry / product (grains, corn, wheat, sorghum, lentils, peas, beans and pulses)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Agricultural Economics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or other professional certification are advantageous
- Strong understanding of financial modelling scenario analysis and risk assessment and the implications these have within the agricultural commodities sector
- Must have leadership experience and be able to motivate and develop a financial team within a fast paced environment
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Toronto, Ontario
