Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international metal producer looking to hire a Credit Manager to join their US branch.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Responsible for carrying out credit write-ups and reviews for global counterparties (assist with the development of their portfolio and contribute to strong expansion plans).
- Prepare and review credit exposure reports, analysis of compliance metrics, management of credit insurance programs.
- Regular travel to visit customers across the Americas with a strong focus on Latin American counterparts (predominantly Mexico) – essentially acting as an extension of the sales team.
- Devising creative solutions and utilising commercial acumen to significantly contribute to the commercial success of a dynamic, entrepreneurial business.
- Reports into CFO.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- At least 5+ years of experience within credit risk / management, preferably working for a commodity trading house, bank or mining entity that has provided exposure to commodities business practice (metals, energy, agriculture – any exposure to aluminum, copper etc. and other non-ferrous or ferrous metals will be a major benefit).
- Strong analytical and communication skills coupled with a “front-office” mindset – must be willing and keen to travel and visit customers.
- Motivation to improve current systems / procedures and assume more responsibility / upward mobility through performance and attitude.
- Must speak Spanish in addition to English.
- Located in New York / willing to relocate.
