Redstone Commodity Search are working with a commodity trading and risk management firm looking to onboard experienced commodity salespeople to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Offer OTC hedging solutions (some physical) to corporate and industrial clients across Europe, dealing with existing client flow as well as originating new business
  • Provide client research, development and marketing support to colleagues and counterparts within the energy business.
  • Obtain orders, quote and execute deals with energy clients, ensuring they fall within the approved risk parameters.
  • Ensure that all deals are booked into the system accurately and recapped to clients.
  • Participate in the preparation of a daily energy market commentary, a weekly emissions commentary and monthly gas summary, as well as ad hoc energy market comments.
  • Role reports to Head of European Sales.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • 1-3 years’ commodities in a sales or commercial support function within a bank / trading house / utility within the energy space.
  • Strong written and spoken English is required, at least one additional EU language: Spanish, German, French, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Danish etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of commodity derivatives and financial products.
  • Self-starter and willingness to build out and develop a portfolio of clients.
  • Located in London or happy to relocate
