Redstone Commodity Search are working with an agricultural trading house looking to hire a coffee trader to join the growing team in Geneva, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Source, negotiate, and execute physical green coffee trades with suppliers and buyers across global markets.
- Maintain and expand a network of producers, exporters, and roasters to ensure consistent supply and market access.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and quality standards to identify trading opportunities and manage risk exposure.
- Collaborate with logistics, quality control, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution from origin to destination.
- Prepare market reports and forecasts, providing strategic insights to management and clients.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in green coffee trading, with sugar and cocoa experience being an advantage.
- Strong understanding of coffee origins, quality grades, and supply chain logistics.
- Proven ability to build and maintain supplier and customer relationships across international markets.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess coffee quality, market trends, and pricing to make informed trading decisions.
- Located or willing to relocate to Geneva, Switzerland.
