Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global conglomerate looking for a Base Metal Operator to support its North American Operations. This role sits at the heart of the trading desk, ensuring the smooth execution of physical trades across the base metals value chain.
Key Responsibilities
• End to end operational support for physical base metals trades from contract execution through to final settlement
• Coordination with traders logistics providers warehouses inspectors and counterparties to ensure timely delivery
• Management of contracts shipping documents invoices and letters of credit
• Monitoring of positions inventory and exposure, ensuring accurate system updates and reporting
• Liaison with finance risk and compliance teams to support settlements controls and internal processes
Key Experience
• Proven experience in a metals operations role within a trading house producer or merchant
• Strong understanding of physical base metals flows including logistics storage and documentation
• Experience handling contracts invoicing and settlements with multiple counterparties
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Confident communicator able to work closely with traders and external stakeholders in a fast paced environment
