Redstone Commodity Search are working with an established trading house, in their search for an Associate Trader to join the growing, non-ferrous metals team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Plan, evaluate and execute new and current business opportunities.
- Perform new business development via market research, sales and well managed new and existing customer care.
- Support the team in establishing the strategic direction to achieve profitability growth.
- Ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled for customers and suppliers.
- Consider new investment opportunities, to help compliment and strengthen trading activities.
- Check documents in relation to stock shipments from a risk management viewpoint.
- Forecasting, and budget preparation.
- Monthly, quarterly and annually compiling and checking of records.
- Drive development of local to regional business through provision of specialist advice.
- Provide reporting statistics to develop business opportunities.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Located in the UK.
- Experience as an associate trader working within a trading environment.
- Understanding of the and/or Minor Metals.
- Understanding of hedging commodity futures and the LME.
- Import/Export business experience.
- Good verbal, written, numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of EMEA trading regulations, contract law and compliance.
- Strong IT skills across Microsoft and SAP.
