Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global metals trading company looking to hire a Procurement Manager – Ferrous / Non-Ferrous Scrap to join their expanding international procurement and trading operation, with responsibility for establishing scrap sourcing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and maintain relationships with scrap yards, processors, industrial suppliers and other key market participants.
- Identify new sources of scrap, negotiate commercial terms and manage procurement activity through to execution and delivery.
- Provide market intelligence and take ownership of developing the company’s procurement strategy, working closely with the wider international trading team.
- Role reports to CEO
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience in ferrous / non-ferrous scrap procurement, trading or commercial development, with a strong understanding of the scrap market.
- Established network of suppliers, yards, processors and industrial sources within the relevant market.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management and market development skills, with the confidence to operate autonomously.
- Role is to be remote
