We are partnering with a leading environmental commodities and energy trading firm seeking to hire a Senior Sales Trader specialising in biomethane, to be based in Amsterdam. This is a front office, revenue generating role focused on driving growth across renewable gas markets, with strong exposure to both physical supply and certificate trading.
You will be responsible for originating and executing transactions across biomethane and related environmental products, working closely with producers, utilities, and end users to structure and deliver commercial solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing platform with significant ambition in the renewable gas space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and execute biomethane and renewable gas transactions across key European markets
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients including producers, utilities, and industrial off takers
- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements including long term supply contracts and certificate trades
- Work closely with trading and structuring teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients
- Monitor market developments and identify new opportunities for growth within biomethane markets
Key Experience:
- Proven experience in a sales trading or origination role within biomethane, gas, or environmental commodities
- Strong understanding of renewable gas markets, including certificates and regulatory frameworks
- Established network across producers, utilities, and industrial clients
- Demonstrated ability to originate and close commercial transactions
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing, risk, and market dynamics
