Redstone Commodity Search are working with an established commodities trading house looking to hire a Senior Fertilizer trader to take over and develop the market in Australia.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead and manage the global fertilizer trading portfolio (urea, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, phosphates, NPKs) with full P&L responsibility.
- Develop and execute international sourcing and distribution strategies to drive profitable growth.
- Structure and execute physical trades, optimizing pricing, freight, arbitrage, and inventory positions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, distributors, and end users across key markets.
- Establish disciplined risk management practices while scaling a high-performance trading function.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10+ years of fertilizer trading experience with a proven record of managing a profitable book.
- Well-established global network within the fertilizer supply chain.
- Strong understanding of global fertilizer market flows, logistics, and pricing dynamics.
- Entrepreneurial, commercially driven mindset; experience with structured trade finance is advantageous.
- Already located in Australia, remote work available.
