On behalf of our client, an elite US law firm, we are seeking a talented Financial Regulatory Lawyer with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). The successful candidate will join a top-tier European financial services regulatory practice, advising a diverse clientele including banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, fintechs, and insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Advice: Provide comprehensive advice on UK and EU financial services regulations, including MIFID II, AIFMD, PSD2, ESG, CSDR, market abuse, governance, remuneration, and EMIR.
- Transactional Support: Advise on regulatory aspects of distressed scenarios, M&A in regulated sectors, and transactions driven by regulatory considerations.
- Financial Products: Offer guidance on the development, issuance, and distribution of financial products in wholesale markets, as well as regulatory matters related to Web3 and digital assets.
- Client Engagement: Assist clients with regulatory engagement, establishing new entities or business lines, and managing regular or ad hoc supervisory processes.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 3-6 years’ PQE in financial regulation, with a focus on non-contentious work. Experience in payments, fintech, and regulatory transactions is essential.
- Qualifications: Strong academic record and currently working at a well-regarded law firm.
- Skills: Excellent client relationship management, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a collegiate team.
