Redstone Commodity Search are working with a a leading Investment Bank looking to hire a dairy trader to join their team.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Develop and expand physical dairy trading capabilities, including onboarding warehouses and establishing counterparty relationships across milk, cream, butter/AMF, cheese and powders.
- Source and execute physical transactions, negotiate long-term supply and off-take agreements, and manage the full trade lifecycle from origination to settlement.
- Manage the physical trading book, oversee risk exposure using exchange and OTC instruments, and ensure adherence to internal risk limits and controls.
- Role reports to Managing Director
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in securities or commodities trading, with preference for physical dairy trading, origination, or marketing exposure.
- In-depth knowledge of dairy products (milk, cheese, butter, powders, whey), including quality specifications, storage, logistics, and market dynamics.
- Established industry relationships across producers, processors, distributors, merchants and warehouses, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Role is to be located in Houston, Texas
