Employment Lawyer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in Manchester that is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their esteemed sports law team. This role involves working with high-profile clients across football and other sports sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate service agreements for senior executives and sports personnel.
  • Advise on employment issues across various sports, supporting corporate, commercial, regulatory/litigation, and immigration teams.
  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes before tribunals and courts, including the Employment Tribunal and FA Rule K arbitration.
  • Contribute to the firm’s employment practice, handling a diverse caseload.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years’ PQE in employment law; experience in sports and media-related matters is a plus.
  • Qualifications: Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Skills: Strong background in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with tribunal experience preferred.
  • Attributes: Excellent academics, communication skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
