Redstone Commodity Search is currently retained by the bunker trading team of a rapidly expanding oil group. As part of their global expansion strategy, our client is looking to hire an experienced Team Head to run a team of up to 10 traders in Dubai. Our client has strong backing and offer one of the most competitive compensation schemes on the market to date.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead and manage a team of bunker traders to execute back-to-back bunker trades in either the Middle Eastern/African, Mediterranean or Far East shipping markets.
- Bring an established and transferable book of end-user clients to the organization, foster and expand existing relationships, and actively seek new bunker enquiries.
- Monitor global bunker market trends, pricing fluctuations, and developments, providing valuable insights and strategies for market penetration and expansion.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with bunker trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their trading capabilities and performance.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 10 years+ back-to-back bunker trading experience + have managed a trading team before.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Transferable book of business in either Middle Eastern/African, Mediterranean or Far East shipping markets.
- A strong network of transferable connections within the bunker fuels industry, covering both suppliers and customers in the marine fuels sector.
- Position is based in Dubai.
