Redstone Commodity Search are working a global conglomerate looking to hire a Senior Base Metals Operator to join its Singapore office. This is a critical role supporting a high volume physical trading desk, overseeing end to end logistics, contract execution and inventory management across global base metals flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full operational execution of physical base metals transactions from contract to final delivery
- Coordinate closely with traders, counterparties, warehouses, shipping lines and inspection companies
- Oversee shipping documentation including bills of lading, warehouse warrants, certificates of origin and assay reports
- Monitor inventory, stock reconciliations and financing structures across LME and non LME locations
- Mitigate operational and contractual risk while ensuring timely settlements and accurate reporting
Key Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in base metals operations within a trading house or producer
- Strong understanding of LME processes, warrants, warehouse logistics and exchange rules
- Proven experience handling complex international shipments across Asia, Europe and the Americas
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments including letters of credit and structured inventory facilities
- Detail oriented, commercially aware and confident operating in a fast paced trading environment
